The aim of this brief was to come up with a character and storyboard the first episode of the series. The character idea is a time traveller that teachers American children about famous figures in history during 4 minutes episodes. Firstly I mind mapped ideas for my character, thinking of ideas such as having an animal, adult human, teenage boy and considering what I would have to include within my character such as how do they travel, are they interactive with the audience etc. I chose to go for an alien, and then carried on further mind mapping what Jack the Alien would be like.
I developed the idea of Jack, including how he travels, why he is travelling, what he looks like and whether he is interactive to his audience. 
After doing this I then started sketching up the story board for the first episode. I chose to show Jack crashing into Earth, in the Egyptian period, and talking to TutunKahmun, the Egyptian Emperor. In the episode, Kahmun talks to Jack about like as an Egyptian, telling him about the ways of life, as well as helping him find a piece of his space ship that went missing during the crash. At the end of the episode there is a quiz, asking the viewers questions on Egyptian living and times, to test if they learnt anything.
